The Lime Glider, launched in 2025 and recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025, builds on the existing Lime bike platform. The design reuses the majority of its components while reimagining the rider experience by replacing the drivetrain with a foot platform and throttle, and introducing a larger, more comfortable saddle. These changes transformed the bike into a new vehicle category, creating a distinct riding experience while enabling access to key cities such as San Francisco, where traditional e-bikes face regulatory restrictions.
